Maintaining Vitality and Strong Connections

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeIn”]At any age, maintaining vitality and strong connections are essential for personal fulfillment and growth.

Here are five tactics I embrace to stay vibrant and relevant (and help ensure my kids return my phone calls).

1. Listen and ask questions: Seek to learn more and go a layer deeper with the people you love. If you approach every conversation with your children this way, they will learn to do the same.

2. Travel: Move around and move often. Traveling isn’t just about taking a vacation – it can open your mind to new perspectives and teach you lessons to bring back home.

3. Push yourself: Put yourself in any environment or situation you aren’t 100% comfortable in. This is how we continue to learn and evolve. Stray from your usual routine, try new foods and embrace challenges that help you grow.

4. Expand your circle: Building relationships with people of different ages can enrich your perspective and keep you connected to the ever-changing world around you. It’s a wonderful way to share wisdom and gain new insights.

5. Be mindful of how you fuel and recharge: Consider everything you put into your body as fuel and make strategic choices that support your well-being. Nourishing your body, getting enough sleep and engaging in activities and behaviors that restore your body, mind and spirit – like spending time in nature – are essential. Taking care of yourself holistically helps you stay energetic and ready to engage fully with life.
